Hello everyone, Im involved in church and have not read this book. This is due to the fact that...I hate reading. Come out with the "Why men hate going to church" movie. Im totally up for watching that! Rev...you really believe deeply in this book, do you think that this "church for men" phenomenon will catch on. Another thing I wonder about is will women find this program offensive. Us as men have found the all women church disgusting, thus, we have quit qoing. Do you think that making the church more manly will turn women away? Under the logic that state and supports the "make the church more manly and men will come" I believe it will. I think we need a happy medium. We need a church with something to do for everyone. -PianoJames P.S. Great work Ben!...The forum looks great!

Women will follow men to church but men will not usually follow women, so if we become a church that attracts more men the women will start attending too!

I don't think most "sisters" will feel "alienated or turned off" by more Christian men coming into the church. The same goes for male or female, greek or jew, if you love the Lord and seek His face and seek Him in His Word, then it will be as God intended.
I am impressed with pianojames and his concern regarding how women might feel in a more male environment in church.
God's overall plan is for the men to be instrumental, pivitol in a church. I don't think this leaves the women out at all, I think it would make the women more inclusive in church if the man is submitting himself to God, he would think of his wife first or other sisters in the Lord before himself. God isn't going to leave his daughters standing out in the cold.
In our society this hasn't been as predominate, we didn't grow up in church with this and it will take some time to allow things to change. Almost everyone will be happier. Notice I didn't say everyone, you can never please all the people all the time.

One of the most important parts of David Murrow's book is the subject of balance between what men need & the needs of women etc. the church needs both men & women to be strong! The problem is the church while lead primarily by men is run primarily for the benefit of women & children, while largely ignoring the needs of men which has driven them from church! It's time to realize how much we need some men in the church.
